Do you live in the Town of Hempstead or City of Long Beach?
Are you between the ages of 16 and 20?
Are you a college student?
Are you presently receiving or are a member of a family receiving cash welfare?
Are you a member of a family that receives an income that does not exceed 200% of the federal income poverty guidelines (for more information, please click on button below):

Who Can Apply?
YEP is open to youth who:

Reside in the Town of Hempstead or City of Long Beach;

Are 18-20 years old;

Eligible to work in the U.S.; and
-
Are presently:
-
Receiving, or is a member of a family receiving cash welfare or receives an income that does not exceed 200% of the federal income poverty guidelines (for more information, please see here for guidelines.)

Homeless; or
-
A foster child

Download the YEP Application here. Once completed, please bring with you the YEP Application and the following documents to our office Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4:00 pm:

A Copy of your Birth Certificate

A copy of your Social Security Card

A copy of your resume

Proof of disability, if applicable

Proof of income (for more information, please refer to TANF Poverty Guidelines here)

Working papers
-
Valid Alien Registration Card (US Resident for last 5 years)

Valid Driver’s License, Learner’s Permit, New York State ID, School ID with photograph
