Youth Employment Program 2024
What is YEP?
The Youth Employment Program (YEP) connects eligible youth with career exploration opportunities and paid work experiences. Participants have the opportunity to explore their interests, develop workplace skills and engage in learning experiences that help in developing their social, civic, and leaderships skills. In addition to a job, youth also participate in work-readiness, leadership, and financial literacy training. By participating in structured work-based opportunities, youth are better prepared for careers in the future. This program will run from January - June 2024.
The program is open to youth ages 18-20 who are not currently attending high school. The hourly wage will be $17 an hour and you will work up to 30 hours a week. You will be placed at different worksites throughout Nassau County.
