The Town of Hempstead Department of Occupational Resources provides online career pathway services for Youth with Disabilities.  A career pathway is a combination of high-quality education, training, and other services that lead to successively higher credentials and employment opportunities in growing occupations.

Eligibility

  • 18-24 years of age

  • An individual with a disability

  • Legal Right to Work in the U.S.

  • Town of Hempstead / City of Long Beach

  • Not currently attending High School or college, and any one of the following:

    • A school dropout

    • HS grad who is economically disadvantaged and either deficient in reading and/or math, an English language learner

    • An individual who has been involved with the juvenile or adult justice system

    • A homeless individual

    • A foster child

    • An individual who is pregnant or parenting 

    • An economically disadvantaged individual who requires assistance
