Summer Youth Employment Program 2023

What is SYEP?

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) connects eligible youth with career exploration opportunities and paid work experiences for six weeks each summer.  Participants have the opportunity to explore their interests, develop workplace skills and engage in learning experiences that help in developing their social, civic, and leaderships skills.  In addition to a summer job, youth also participate in work-readiness, leadership, and financial literacy training. By participating in structured work-based opportunities, youth are better prepared for careers in the future.

This summer, SYEP participants will work from June 26, 2023 to August 4, 2023, will earn $16 an hour, and work up to 30 hours a week.  You will be placed at different worksites throughout Nassau County.
